Place doesn't have their act together. Only stay if you get an incredible deal. It's clean but not worth paying more than $75 per night.
Do they realize they are in business BECAUSE of their customers, not in spite of their customers?
This place had no issue doing that.
My husband and I stayed overnight for a wedding. The entire room was very ill-lit, and the bathroom lighting was particularly awful so getting ready for a special event here was a challenge. I had to move the side table lamp into the bathroom to help light the space to do my makeup and I could barely see myself getting dressed. There was also a school group occupying the rooms around us and we easily heard their socializing in the halls. Fortunately, they were fast asleep by the time we returned from our event but their noise woke us in the morning. Room doors could use more sound proofing, I suppose. All that in combination with having to pay to park in their lot as a hotel guest - a $35/day privilege (if there are spots) that's more expensive than street parking - we would never choose to return for another stay or recommend it to anyone. All that said, the room was reasonably clean and comfortable otherwise - we slept just fine before being awakened by disruptive guests.
Beautiful wedding hall & overall appearance of lobby, bar & grounds. Only drawback were the indivual rooms needing an update. The food was very good at the wedding. Staff was very nice, professional & efficient. Valet parking & self parking was well done. Close to restaurants & bars in town.
Takes a lot to rile me up.
Management needs to change. asap.
Staying here presently. Was concerned when I read the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. I am on the 4th floor but where I have been everything seems to be nice and put together. Staff seems very eager to please. Rooms are nice. Lobby clean. Don't see anything that would tell me the place isn't being rum well. Looking forward to my stay. UPDATE AS I AM LEAVING: Stay was pleasant. Staff was, for the most part, excellent. Better than most. There were a couple that could have been more pleasant. The lighting in the rooms is not good. Simply not enough light. Hotel was full but space was more than adequate. I stayed in the larger rooms so I had plenty of room. Not sure of the smaller rooms. Location was great but parking is a $20 per day add on. They will show you where there is free parking because around the hotel is metered until midnight. Not the hotel's fault as much as the municipality. BTW, had all of my rooms checked for bed bugs before I came and all were clean. That accounts for 28 rooms. So, besides the parking and the lighting this place was great and the location is just beautiful.
