The Asbury is fun, hip, chic and comfortable.
The rooms are insanely small. I felt as if I was preparing for a prison sentence. The room was incredibly plain. No theme or reason. We chose this hotel as our honeymoon stay because we heard they were pet friendly to then find out that they have no activities involving pets. They can literally just be in the room. No amenities in room. No fridge, they literally only have pizza and sandwiches for guest. At the price to stay here I at least wanted chocolate on my pillow.
There are shelves as well as hangers in the closet, with ample space for our clothes. Wooden cubbies for incidentals held our camera, laptop, and toiletry bags. We could see the boardwalk and ocean from our room.
The lobby and multi-use "living room" provides a place to play board games, listen to music(there was live "coffeehouse" music one night) visit with friends, have a drink or a bite to eat, play a game of pinball or pool. As for eats, we ordered breakfast sandwiches from the lobby coffee bar which were huge and delicious, and ordered a wrap from the food truck for lunch which was yummy.
I got a beautiful park view, the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Staff was very hospitable especially Conner, Vincent and Jamie. I enjoyed my stay there. Only draw back is no restaurant and paid parking. I'll definitely stay here again.

We are so happy that we had our wedding at The Asbury Hotel! We chose it because we didn't want a "package" wedding. The other venues we looked at had different wedding packages, and we weren't thrilled with any of them. We didn't want a standard wedding that people have already gone to. We also didn't want to have to travel around on our wedding day. We wanted everything - ceremony, reception, after party, and overnight guests, all in one place. The Asbury Hotel allowed us to really customize their space so we could have the wedding of our dreams, and we never had to leave the hotel! Our guests continue to tell us how much they loved our wedding and how unique it was, which is exactly what we were hoping for. The Asbury Hotel staff was so friendly and our guests told us how much they liked the vibe of the hotel in general. The staff made us feel so special! Also, their rooms were very comfortable. It is easy to see why they are consistently rated one of the best hotels in the state and country. If you are looking for a unique wedding experience, we recommend them! Also, if you're looking for a comfortable and fun hotel, we also recommend them!!
A great lobby bar with friendly bartenders. Always music; live, DJ, or some of the many albums they have on the walls. Events here are great, too! There's something for everyone. I've not yet stayed at the Asbury but will be certain to update once I do.
We are in our sixties, so we highly value "creature comforts". Our room was very clean, restful and QUIET! The bed was comfy and eased us to sleep. The shower had two options; the hand held shower was especially helpful. There was plenty of shelf space in the bathroom for toiletries. The body wash, shampoo and conditioner which The Asbury provides are far nicer than what we've ever encountered in a hotel before, or even what we use at home.
My husband and I spent 3 nights at The Asbury in early August (2017). Every staff member we interacted with was warm, friendly and eager to assist us.
